After graduating from the University of California, Mary embarked on a 20-year career with AT&T in California and Manhattan, gaining extensive management experience and expertise in corporate strategy and communications. Post-retirement, she consulted to corporations and nonprofits in San Francisco on organizational and leadership development, volunteered with Project Open Hand and the San Francisco SPCA and served on the boards of the Ronald McDonald House and the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, the world’s largest marine mammal hospital and research center. She is currently Secretary of the Far + Wise Board.
Like many, Mary and her late husband came to Sun Valley to ski and fell in love with the astonishing beauty and laid-back vibe of the area, moving here full-time in 2020. She has long been a supporter of land and habitat conservation and is an avid “expedition traveler, seeking out wildlife in its natural environment, whether in the mountains of Rwanda, the plains of Brazil or the ice floes of the Arctic.
Recently widowed, Mary treasures being a “bonus mom” to five adult children and two “grands.
