New study quantifies how new development increases housing demand


According to a recent study, the median price of a home in Blaine County has risen to $1 million, requiring a household income of $237,907 to afford.


A household in Blaine County would need to make 303% of the the area median income to afford that median home.


In 2022, a renter in Blaine County needed an annual income of at least $106,000 a year to afford a median rental, according to a 2022 housing needs assessment conducted by the Blaine County Housing Authority. In 2022, the median income for a household in the county was $81,794.
