Welcome to the
Richard Carr Society
"Richard had such an enthusiasm for life and a special commitment to our Valley. He was a life-long conservationist who championed the values of the Land Trust — connecting people to the land and conserving our special places. I am thrilled to continue his legacy."

Richard Carr Society
Our Richard Carr Society was named in honor of former Land Trust board chair Richard Carr, a visionary conservationist who passed away too soon. It is a growing community whose annual commitments of $5,000+ exemplify Richard’s understanding that lasting conservation happens when individuals come together year after year to make a difference. Richard knew that protecting our critical landscapes and life-giving waters, while there's still time, requires both courage and consistency. Richard Carr Society members embody both.
As one of 200 Richard Carr Society families, you are the driving force behind the most significant conservation wins in our region – connecting landscapes, restoring waterways, and building a future where our community and nature thrive. Your collective support funds approximately 80% of our annual operations and is the lifeblood that makes it all possible.
