We're teaming up with Cox Charities to get the community involved in the largest river restoration project in the Big Wood River Basin, and we want you involved! Enjoy a morning with the Wood River Land Trust team and get your hands in the dirt planting trees and other native vegetation, all while becoming an active land steward.
About the Warm Springs Restoration Project Warm Springs Preserve is a 65-acre protected open space in Ketchum where Warm Springs Creek winds through a high-elevation valley at the base of Bald Mountain. Once a golf course and previously considered for development, the landscape has been shaped over time by both natural flooding and past land uses. Today, Warm Springs Preserve is enjoyed year-round by dog walkers, disc golfers, Nordic skiers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Guided by extensive community input, a long-term vision for the Preserve focuses on restoring creek and habitat areas, improving water-conscious landscaping, expanding trails for walking and winter recreation, and creating welcoming spaces for informal gatherings. The preserve will remain dedicated to open space and community recreation—development, organized sports, and private commercial events will always be restricted.
