Wood River Land Trust is a non-profit conservation organization that helps landowners and communities protect and restore the wildlife habitat, clean water, farmland, and scenic vistas that make the Wood River Valley and its surrounding areas unforgettable.

Using voluntary conservation agreements and other tools, we help local landowners care for our natural lands and waters and help shape communities that are friendly to the area’s fish, wildlife, and people.  Our partnerships keep land in private hands, help families protect the lands they love, and preserve traditional land uses such as family farming and ranching.

It's sage-grouse season! Mating season that is . . . and we are lucky to have a sage-grouse mating area, known as a lek, at Square Lake. Visit our Community page to catch a glimpse of the birds in action.
