Heart of the Valley Submission Guidelines
“I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.”
— Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)
CONTEST THEME The Wood River Valley is a remarkable and special place. Each and every person who has been here has experienced a moment, a sight or an experience that sparked a deep connection with the valley. “Do you remember...?”
Whatever your moment was, share with us that inspiring memory that brought you to realize your love and connection with this valley. “Do you remember...” watching autumn leaves fall into the Big Wood River? Carving a perfect turn down your favorite ski run on Baldy? Hiking with friends and seeing wildlife?
