| The Protection of the Big Wood River Heather Kimmel, Project Coordinator Kathryn Goldman and Executive Director Scott Boettger of the Wood River Land Trust discuss river health and the steps the Trust has taken to preserve the health of the heart of the community, the Big Wood River. Learn about the "Healthy Waters, Healthy Future" initiative as well as past WRLT projects including the Draper Wood River Preserve in Hailey and the Croy Creek Restoration. One of the primary goals of the Wood River Land Trust is to ensure that the great natural areas surrounding our communities are preserved well into the future for coming generations and with the help of volunteers and donors they have been meeting that goal.

| What Is a Land Trust? Heather Kimmel of the Wood River Land Trust discusses the process of working with private landowners to protect the natural beauty and wilderness of the land for generations to come. There are currently 1,700 land trusts in America, which protect over 37 million acres. Heather goes on to describe the work the WRLT does here in the Valley at Colorado Gulch, as well as the array of conservation methods they employ. |
