Buying Land & Stewardship
Land Donations Donations of land to Wood River Land Trust for the purposes of conserving or restoring its health guarantee that the land will be protected for all time. Wood River Land Trust will then assume the responsibility of protecting, restoring, and maintaining the land's health and scenic views.
Bargain Sales of Land In a bargain land sale, a landowner sells land to Wood River Land Trust for less than its fair market value. This process allows Wood River Land Trust to purchase land for protection and restoration that the organization could not otherwise afford to purchase. | Stewardship The Wood River Land Trust maintains a professional staff of land managers and ecologists and works extensively with academic partners, agencies and consultants on a variety of resource management issues and projects. We provide landowners who have directed conservation easements with sound advice on issues affecting natural resource values of their property. These issues may include:
• Managing invasive and non-native plant and animal species • Road and trail management • Habitat protection • Habitat restoration
Our Stewardship Coordinator is available to work with you to provide advice and expertise to enhance the habitat and natural resource values on your land.
